The HR Generalist will support and, in some cases, run the daily human resource functions at PRI and PRI Talent including administering benefits, leave, and pay, evaluating performance, and enforcing company policies and practices.
You’ll be working closely with our operations team and leadership to support employees and contractors at PRI and PRI Talent. This empathetic role calls for an organized, detail-oriented communicator who can provide answers and solve problems related to our team’s personal and financial wellbeing. This role is completely remote and operates within Eastern Time Zone business hours.
Responsibilities
PRI
- Develop administrator-level knowledge of key HRIS systems (Paylocity, Lattice, Ease, ForUsAll, Breezy)
- Become a resource to the team for all questions related to human resources (benefits, PTO, payroll, etc.)
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements
- Coordinate open enrollments, changes, administration, and training for employee benefits programs (healthcare, dental, vision, STD, LTD, life)
- Create process documentation and how-tos for HR-related procedures and systems (Paylocity, Lattice, Ease, ForUsAll)
- Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies
- Maintain repository of job descriptions
- Regularly review and maintain the accuracy of employee policies and Employee Handbook
- Assist with salary band research and description creation and for new roles
- Onboard new employees; offboard exiting employees
- Procure new employee equipment; keep an organized inventory of assigned equipment
- Participate in the recruitment process by conducting preliminary interviews as needed
- Screen references and perform background checks for new employees
- Coordinate welcome gifts for new team members and other incentive rewards and gifts throughout the year (HeyTaco, Tremendous, Giftogram)
- Sync approved PTO with the PRI calendar and Forecast
- Ideate new programs for employee engagement, enrichment, and perks
PRI Talent
- Develop administrator-level knowledge of key HRIS systems (People by Wagepoint, Melio, Breezy)
- Create process documentation and how-tos for HR-related procedures and systems (People by Wagepoint, Melio)
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements
- Maintain repository of job descriptions
- Liaise with hiring managers on a biweekly basis to assess contractor performance
- Support timesheet and invoice collection
- Onboard new contractors; offboard exiting contractors
- Participate in the recruitment process by conducting preliminary interviews as needed
- Screen references and perform background checks for new employees
- Track approved time off for contractors
Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in human resources, payroll, and/or operations
- Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems
- Process-driven and deadline-oriented with outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to build trust and rapport quickly
- Exceptional communication and writing skills
- Experience working effectively on a distributed team
